According to foreign media reports, Waaree Energies, based in Mumbai, India, has launched a solar-powered solution for electric cars (EVs), a custom-made solar module that allows electric cars to be charged while driving. Waaree Energies is India's largest solar photovoltaic manufacturer and a leader in rooftop solar energy.
According to the company, such solar modules are designed for the Indian transportation industry. They are portable, sensitive, lighter, more usable and more powerful. They are the ambition of the car. For vehicles that need to supply energy for auxiliary functions such as cooling, the solar modules are well suited for them.
The company has shown that its solar modules are independently developed by Waaree and are cost-effective. After successfully collaborating with Bergstorm and Motherson Sumi, Waaree Energies is still looking for more partners.
Wailee Energies Director Sunil Rathi stated: “Waaree Energies has always been committed to transforming India into a country that relies on solar energy. The custom solar modules developed by Waaree Energies are designed to satisfy the demand for electric cars that appear on the streets of India in the coming years. Sensitive, used modules that greatly reduce the frequency of charging electric cars and help reduce the effects of climate change. These modules are expected to increase the power of electric cars by 10% to 25%."
Such customized modules, produced by Waaree Energies at its Surat plant, will help reduce the cost of protecting electric cars now. In addition to being suitable for electric cars, such solar panels can also be installed on commercial vehicles.
